Dear ______,
Since it's way too early to voice this to you, due to the delicacy of our relationship, which is a friendship, I chose to write you this letter and post so all but you can see! If you're reading this you should be able to understand how my mind works by know and you'll understand why I didn't show this to you before.
I really liked our shopping date that we had on Saturday. I like spending time with you and love seeing your face. You just don't know how much I didn't want to leave your side that night. Despite my desires, I knew you were tired and you needed your rest. Judging by the contents of your Friday and your Saturday, you should've been good and ready to collapse in that comfortable bed of yours. I woulda just kept you up. We parted in agreement that I would see you again on Monday.
Enter in Monday comes...I'm excited. I wanted to do something special for you. You treated me to the movies, gave me great conversation and provided great company. I just wanted to do a lil something that said that I cared enough about you and that I wanted to make you feel good. So, I thought. I was going to go for a walk in this park in Roselle, they had paddle boats and I thought it would be nice to have just us two on the boats talking about anything. It was warm outside and it was perfect weather. I sent a text message and didn't get a response to 4 hours later. By that time, the weather had turned and boats weren't a great idea. There's still the plans I made for after the boats. I called you and to voicemail I went. The fuel that was energizing my day was quickly burning off. You called me back and said you were taking a nap before you went to class. I automatically knew that I wouldn't be seeing you that day. We said our goodbyes and hung up the phone.
I went to grab coffee with a coworker to take my mind off of you, but it didn't work. I returned home to sit in the car for over a hour and a half to listen to the Quiet Storm on 107.5FM and the Brian McKnight show on 98.7FM. I sat there with the windows down and my seat reclined thinking about you and how bummed I was that we didn't have our date. After that time elapsed, I went inside and made a drink to sip on hoping to drift into a slumber. It's been a good while since I was able to genuinely miss someone, but I missed you.
I'm really looking forward to the next time we spend time together. See you soon...
