No many ifs. Not for us to decided.

Human mnature makes us curious. The homosexual stereotype is that we must label everything, everything must be difinitive. So we must have some sort of clue. Nobody has an answer that will be set in stone but I honestly believe that we at least have a thought or opinion! Come on jeremy, share a lil...

yeah...in my heart I believe it
is a sin. I mean gods plan is for
us to multiply...and I am not
aiding in his plan. But with that
said, and this being a DaddyDay,
as I sit around my fighting relatives...sis and her man, other
sis and her wannabe man and see their turmoil...ie fighting, struggle for control I am
glad I did not partake of gods plan..I am childless and I lik that for some reason...why do gay
people or some gay people(cause
the lesbians I know always are having children?) continue to sin?
I believe that god gave me these feelings and does not want me to be
unhappy and while he dosent agree
with my choices ...he dosent condemn me lik the straights do...he prays for me.And understands my weakness. Anyway,
as I am UncleMommie to my nieces and nephews my emptynest shit is not as empty. Manchild

This question is going to yield several answers depending on your level of understanding, self-love or hate and comfort levels with you.

Just two years ago, I came into the realization that the way I live my life is not a sin or grounds for me to miss heaven. I was raised in a very religious family, whose belief that if you wore open toed shoes gave you a direct flight to Hell.

After a year or two at college and studying and searching I could not come up with an intellectual reason as to why my life was any worse than another person's life. Once I had that realization, I stopped being miserable and started living a happy life.

This question of a sin really places people in a strange place. The minister said it best today, the bible isn't a Rule and Regulation Manual but a book of principles. So when we continue to place this subject in the wrong light we will always have skewed data.

The question is: "What does the Bible say?"

And: "Do I care what the Bible says?"

I think the Bible presents an order for sexuality that homosexuality cannot meet and I believe in that order because I believe in the Bible.

Call me "self-hating" if you want. I don't too much care.

That's the blunt version.

Is homosexuality a sin? No. Is lewd, lascivious sex a sin, yes- homosexual or not.

As I am sure you know, Jesus said nothing specifically about homosexuality and only seven of all the verses in the bible refer to homosexuality and those verses do not refer to homosexuality as it is understood today. An example is Genesis and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah when the villagers were condemned, not for homosexuality but for wanting to sleep with angels.

In regards to what the bible says, JESUS- it has been translated so much and so frequently to meet and fit an AGENDA, that the original meaning and translation has been lost in translation. I refer to the King James Version, the basis for much of the anti-homosexual rhetoric, and it was translated by almost fifty different scholars, all of whom were Anglican and had little respect for the documents and records of the Roman Catholic Church.

Im Torn.... I Do not know what it says in the bible honestly about homosexuals.... but i like to think that god will judge me on who I am, and what's in my heart & soul whether than who I loved and slept with while on earth...

No! What we do as homosexuals then yes it can be viewed as sinful. Haven't been in touch with anyone whom has been to the otherside so there are no reports if homosexxuals go to heaven however; I do believe many make it through the pearly white gates.

I agree with corey keith - in totality. It's all about interpretation and too much interpretation has been about personal agendas - what I believe is that my salvation is dependent upon what's in my heart ... it's about my relationship with Christ ... and if good works can't get you INTO heaven, why are people trying to say that BAD works can? It's contradictory and convenient - and makes no damn sense to try to pin homosexuality as a "bad" work. Truth be told, if homosexuality keeps us from heaven, we can always spend eternity arguing with a TON of pastors in hell, which should be fun.

lmao @ Jack! too funny

i think it's not a sin, i feel we all have a chance to go to heaven no matter what our sexual preference may be. :)

Since I'm not religious it's probably not right that I comment, but if I were I would say that it's all up to God's plan and that I wouldn't have the audacity to even think I knew what that was.

we can't wonder about an outcome we won't get an asnwer for till we're dead. Live your life the way God intended you to..and that is to be yourself and not worry about others..for they are either confused, envious, or scared of their own existence.

This I know for sure, we serve a loving God, who states in the bible that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God we are saved. Last Time I checked I didn’t see anything about race, creed, or sexuality around that verse. The bible states that salvation was given to the gentiles, we are the gentiles. I often am confounded when observing those on the religious right who have picket lines against abortion, and homosexuality and any social issue or whim with which they disagree. True Christianity urges the believer to be Christ like, Christ was never with those who society accepted but he was with the outcast, I have a heart for those society rejects, I believe that Christ came and died and rose again for everyone, not a select majority. I will not have my religion hijacked, the fact of the matter is the bible states that many people who call God lord will not enter in, salvation is simple. God does not want anyone to go to hell and he did not design it for humans. I urge all of you to seek a personal relationship with God (it is possible to be spiritual and not religious and it’s possible to be religious and not spiritual), trust me God is waiting to hear from you. Don’t change for people, God is the only one you have to answer to, religion has bound a lot of you with rules and regulations, but when you get to know God and his son you will find freedom, for Christ came to set us all free, he looks down on this world and prays to the father for us all. People have oppressed and hurt others in his name, and that’s unacceptable. I don't know all the answers, but I do know that God loves us all, and tells us to come as we are. And if God greets you with open arms, who do I think I am to close mine toward you. I'm willing to talk/debate with any of you, if you have further comment.

See the problem with quoting the bible is we can not take it to scriptures from certain parts of the bible as some have done. While I agree that God is a very merciful, he also said to obey his commands. So with that said while Jesus may not have said anything specifically relating to homsexuality he did say in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" and Leviticus 18:22 says "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable" and again in Leviticus 20:13 it says "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.." It does not get much clearer than that...

Rodrigo, I lived through your comments! I just wanted to let you know this. out of everyone, I think i agree with you the most.

The bible never says about a homosexual going to hell. The bible only states that homosexuality is a sin. It's all in the act! If you can refrain from being a whore and a slut and keep ya booty locked up and ya dick behind the zipper and keep ya thoughts clean, I think you will be fine! haha. I had to through the thoughts thing in there because the bible says that even the thought of unrighteousness is a sin! You better be on ya p's and q's and have a good relationship with God! I'm workin on mine, I hope you are too! lol

It's not a sin b/c I didnt have a say in the matter. I was who I was when I popped out. Using that logic yes, I think it's possible to get to heaven by effing A or getting effed in the A.
