Good/Bad Movie

So, I went to see Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. I, and a group of friends, went to the Jersey Gardens movie cinema. It was quite exhilarating! Before the movie even started, some rude dude yelled, "I love New York!" I said aloud, "this is going to be a good movie!"

Not even 10 minutes into the movie, drama. Some chick got bout it wit a whole row of people! I kinda thought something was gonna happen when I saw 2 big asses when I turned around being nosy! They was about to fight and I was gonna watch the fight and then turn right around and get my money back for this movie! They was like, "meet me outside..." I was like YESSSS (been a good min since I seen a fight) Oh well. They left and now I have missed like 5 or 10 min of the movie! GREAT!

Comments on how gay one of the characters was, to how he looked like a cross between Michael Jackson and somebody else. I gotta ask Reggie and I'll post update later... Vera played her damn role! The damn lush in the movie, I LOVED HER THE WHOLE MOVIE!!! Brenda better work! The bitch is workin and will continue to work! She had this walk in the movie that said "I know you are lookin at me and I'm gonna work it anyhow!" I was feelin the Spanish chick, Cheryl! She was ghetto and to the point!

This was indeed the first time I had a bad movie experience, but it turned out to be pretty fun! I loved the movie and would recommend it to anyone!

The movie concept was nice, but if you notice, this movie was pieced from scenes in other plays by Perry. The jokes were rehashed but the new ones came out strong. I felt the characters could have made a stronger emotional tie into the movie. In some parts, it felt rushed and forced, which was immediately noticed by those who are Perry fans.

Rating: B-

I enjoyed the movie too. I think from now on I'm going to get his movies from Netflix. I went to a pretty white area to see the movie. In walks half a row of folks talking all until the movie started. I just knew they were going to be loud. And yep I was right they were. Now the movie was funny in sections but nothing so funny to make me want to stand up and shout. Unlike this other fool in the row I mentioned before. sigh

I am hearing mixed reviews. I think I will wait for the DVD. No one has said it is a must see. More like, if you have nothing else to do then go see it type vibe.

The movie did absolutely wonderful at the box office however; that does not signify that the movie was good. I saw the play and I do look ofrward to taking in the movie the moment I find a date, otherwise i will wait for the DVD to be released.

It appears that you almost got to shows for the price of one. Thankz for sharing your review of the movie.

I'm going to see it too. My girl told me Perry had very believable characters, both educated and ignorant. Very nice from the cliched stereotypes portrayed in other movies.

It was Ok for me yet still entertaining.

I kinda wish I didn't see the play now, I would have been more surprised. The jokes were reused, and it wasn't over the top for me. The acting was good, I think it was the story that was weak. I did laugh though.

Here is hoping for Madea goes to Jail.
Now more then ever her jokes have to be FRESH!

Sup Fuzzy! been away for like 12 days, but was happy to see this post when I came back! I love going to a 'hood theater (big up to all the Jersey theaters, don't front) every now and then. It kinda depends on what movie it is, too. I would not go in there trying to watch Pride and Prejudice, but to see a Tyler Perry flick, no doubt! It's an entire package and hilarious. Now, the fighting and stuff...you know you are wrong! But, I am actually slated to see it tomorrow with one of my guys, so I will definitely talk about my impressions!

lol Wow. I find myself becoming very crabby with excessive noise so I know I would have been heated that all of that was going on.

I will see the movie at some point between tonight and this week.

Thanks for the review though. ;o)

Yea I wasnt too pleased with the movie..It wasn't as good as his latest work my favorite movie." Why did I get married."...I love me some Angie lol. Yea I was trying to see the fight too. We shoulda followed them outside fuzzy lol. I just hope the next 2 movies he's working on are alot better. If Angela Basset or Jennifer Lewis and David Mann didnt contribute there efforts the movie woulda really sucked lol and thats bad because i've been a tyler perry fan since the begginning. I recommend everybody when he goes on tour with the plays and is in your city ,go see them..nothing is better then seeing him adlib the segments of the show. Its halarious
