Cracked Easter Egg

On Resurrection Sunday, commonly known as Easter, I experienced my problems with getting to service on time. Due to no fault of my own but of 2 other people. My father's ride bailed on him so I had to drop him off at church and I was called to pick up a friend. Turned out she was impatient and got her mother to take her... Any Hoo

I'm in service. The message was motivating, encouraging, convicting and informative. It provoked thought and self improvement. There was a prayer line, like usually. I did not go up for prayer. Mike and I were already in the front, right next to the pastor while he prayed for the people. It felt as if I was there backing him up and praying with him. This was different! I left self behind and was completely in tuned with the spirit and submerged in prayer. A Change!

I felt moved to get in the back of a guy as he was being prayed for. Shortly after he fainted, falling backwards into my arms. The spirit was in this place. As he lay praising God, hands raised, I prayed and praised God with him. Mike came over and joined me. When it was all over I fell into a personal praise. Glory and Honor fell from my mouth. Tears ran from my eyes. Arms leaped in the air, as the floor welcomed my knees. A Move!

Dismissal came. I was only there for about 45 minutes and that was all I needed! A minister and his wife approached me and asked how long I have been a minister. I said "huh!" followed with "I'm not a minister!" Amazed, they looked at each other and said, "I don't know what is wrong but you need to step into your calling! This is your season, you have to step into it. Its not going to fall on you. You have so much power in you and you don't even know it!" A New Thing!

My Easter Egg had a calling in it. It caught me off guard. I never would of thought of myself as a minister!

First of all, I would have been pissed if I went to pick up someone and they were not there. So I would have really need prayer once I got to church.
Second, it sounds like you had a blessed and soul raising time. So, I am glad that someone felt you had the anointed, but only you can prevent forrest fires. Huh? Wait, that came out wrong. Only you can say if you got that calling, since the call would be placed direct to you. You better ask Saul. So, what do you think. Did you get the calling, or was it a wrong number?

Be careful...I've heard this my whole life. While I believe it ten thousand percent timing is so important as welll, in due season u shall always reap a harvest if u do one thing...faint not. Be blessed...

@ cash s: Oh Yes, I'm gonna praise him!

@ Promiscuous X: Well I came for you already so its all good! lol :-)

@ shawnqt: I apologized...

@ One Man’s Opinion: I hear the words come out of these people's moths, but God has not mentioned it to me, nor has my pastor brought it to me.

@ Darius T. Williams: I'm not trying to jump in this. LoL believe me! I am gonna be 200% sure before I decide to do this!

@ Sean Stone: thank you!

@ Corey Keith: I can't say its my calling but I am not sure I can say its not. Its not exactly the first time someone has said this to me! more going like the 10th. But I have not heard a divine word!

@ ponoono: You are exactly a MESS!

You know someone told me once that I could pray. I said Ummm no I can't. They said stop being modest and go do the invocational prayer. I went ahead and did what I was told, and well let me tell you I never was called to pray again! Be careful!

I was about to say it but you beat me to it. You could be charismatic or have a great presence but the calling comes from God. Not saying you are worthy but make sure it comes from God.

We talked about false prophets at our service and it made sense. Too many people were told that they would make great preachers and prophets. It came from people not God.

Very interesting. I'm glad church was inspiring and refreshing.

I've been told the same thing many times early on when I would speak and was singing regularly. However, I think when a calling truly comes, your spirit recognizes the voice...literally it is a "calling".Through out it all, it wasn't about being a true "minister" for me. I just wanted/want to sing.

*Breaks into character* "hmph! Shug can sing, Shug got talent, what you got?!"

lmao @ one mans opinion

I dont like the idea of other people telling you to step into YOUR calling. If its YOUR calling you will know.

Anyway, I am glad you had a blessed service on Easter Sunday, as did I. The spirit was all over that sanctuary.

PS. I miss chatting with you on yahoo
