I was sitting in the choir stand at church. I was thinking to myself about my behavior and the behavior of other church people while they are in church. After much thought, I have come to the realization that many people who call themselves christians tent to place themselves on pedestals! I fell victim to this as well! Let me explain this...
There are the church people that come to church to show off their money. You have the people that see what kind of hand out they can get (not talkin about the spirit either)! I can't forget the ones that come to sit and cause trouble with their backbiting and gossip! Oh what about the phony people that come to tell you one thing and as soon as you turn around they're doing exactly what they told you not to do! HYPOCRITES! The bosses of the church, you know the ones that really have NO AUTHORITY whatsoever, are the ones I roll my eyes at!
I really place myself in the gossip corner. Is it gossip if it is the truth? If it isn't I take it back lol! Seriously though I think you can separate the church from everyone else because I truly believe that they/we think believe they/we are better than everyone else because we have Jesus.
Can someone shed their opinion and let me know how you feel about this?

You really want to talk about the divides in the church? One of the main reasons folks don't mess with the church? The cliques? The drama?
You really want folks to speak on this? LOL
Church is just a reflection of life as it is. When you bring the outside in, you bring the whole human experience with you. Church is merely the space to stand ready for a reformation. The goal is to let Jesus and GOD into your hearts so that when you go back into the world, you are ready to deal with everything, and bring GOD more out into the world.
Yet most people don't humble themselves and take on that mission in the church.
Religion.. any religion.. is man's rational effort to define his place in the cosmos. People who overdo it for church.. however.. are trying to define their status in the comunity.. does that sound like the Word as you know it?
We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. (Shawn however I'm sure got a second look in the swimsuit !!)
@ ladynay: yes i do! in order for it to be removed, it needs to be addressed!
@ shawnqt: When will people humble themselves? what will it take for people to humble themselves?

I don't like church folk at all...christians are ok...church folk with their judgments, gossips(whether it's true or nt it's somebody elses business STOP SPREDING IT) competitive spirits and hypocrisy amony a plethora of other things are a MESS and I dont like dealing with them.
I have more to say on this but i don't fel like yping it. it might turn into a whole post. ugh.
