For the past week, or maybe a little bit more, I have been typing a "Word 4 Today". Its something that came to me one day while I was needing encouragement. The thought was that maybe if I encouraged somebody else that I would in turn be encouraged. Well I sent the word out and I got a positive reply. In turn, as I hopefully predicted, I was encouraged. I have been texting the word ever since and have been getting mostly great comments. Yes I said mostly, let me explain. One of the receivers of the message kindly asked me to stop texting the word because it was costly. Perfectly understandable! She followed with another message that she would rather receive it in an e-mail. That is do-able, uses more of my time, but now I'm doing a service for God. I'm sending inspiration to people that need it.
I get a phone call from a number that isn't in my phonebook (means I don't know who it is) so I don't answer it. I get another call and I decide to answer it. It was a lady named Annie. She asked me if I sent a text containing the "Word 4 Today", I replied, "yes". I asked her for the phone number that I sent it to and apparently somebody changed their number and didn't tell me. Its ok though. She said that she would like me to keep sending it. Complete stranger encouraged. That's what it is all about!
I get a call this morning. There's a suggestion. Some people, as I have already heard once, would like to receive it via e-mail. I am going to set something to send out an e-mail out to all who wish to receive it by e-mail.
I am greatly encouraged and very satisfied that I am touching many people. This has the very potential to grow into SOMETHING BIG! I'm getting closer and closer to something that may be my calling. It just happened! I didn't even believe that it was going to grow this way. It is great how things come together and work together for the good of those that love the Lord!

That's awesome that your encouraging folks, that's what's up.
I already have something like that set up so I decline the offer.
I had a realization the other day... after a couple of people left a comment on my last blog entry... while I see other people doing great things, are they doing it for them, or are they doing it for others?
Helping others is an amazing feeling in itself.
Its not about being the greatest leader, but being the leader that brings forth more leaders!
So continue being encouraged, so that you can encourage others!
I want the word. Text messages can get epensive though...
